2010: Full Iron-distance PR at Challenge Copenhagen
2011: Marathon

A little over a year ago, I decided to tackle an Iron distance triathlon and signed up for Challenge Copenhagen. I had never done this distance before and my goal was to finish the race. About 3 months before the race, I realized my training was somewhat disorganized. I wasn’t quite sure how to get in what I needed without over or under doing.

That is when I heard about Joe Company. He was recommended to me as a coach by several people in Columbia Multisport Club. We met, discussed my history, training and goals and he put together a fantastic training plan for me. He swam with me at Lake Huelen. He rode with me twice to give me biking tips. He discussed nutrition, hydration, strategy and rules with me. He gave me pointers the whole way through. He was accessible by phone, email or texting to answer questions.

The best part of it all, is that after having Joe Company as my coach, I finished Challenge Copenhagen is 11 hours and 53 minutes! Way under the 16 hours allotted. Even better, I did all that training and remained injury free. I would highly recommend Joe as a triathlon coach.
