June 9-10 Weekend Report

Bike races and Kansas 70.3

First, congrats to Greg Campbell, who won gold at the Missouri Show-Me State Games road race and qualified for Nationals!  Great performance Greg!!!

Second, ECo had a lot of athletes compete at Kansas 70.3.  It was a hot, windy day, but everyone persevered and did a great job.

Jackie Pearce placed 11th in the PRO division in: 4:55.  This performance was only 3 weeks after Ironman Texas.  Great job on tired legs.  Kevin Nickel placed 2nd in the 30-34 age group in  4:28.  He qualified for 70.3 Worlds in September.  Looks like ECo will be well-represented in Las Vegas!  Jenny Clark placed 4th in the 45-49 age group in  5:46.  Jen Reisdorf placed 6th in the 40-44 age group in  5:29, and Megan Weldon placed 23rd in the 35-39 age goup in 6:06.  Carrie Kimber also competed, but used Kansas as a 'practice swim-bike' in preparation for ITU long-course Worlds in Spain in July.
